In the Footsteps of the Renaissance, a retreat to discover renaissance jewels, including jewels that are off the beaten track in magical medieval towns in Umbria and Tuscany. 

These four days of hiking, exploring, exceptional food and wine tasting will suit you if you love renaissance art and are looking for a deep-dive into the cultural and culinary experience of Umbria. The programme is intensive and packed with cultural activities including guided excursions to Asissi, Perugia and local towns and villages. 

You will attend a cookery class with an expert Umbrian chef and learn all about the local cuisine.

Art as Poetry

Art as Poetry is a retreat for painters and urban sketchers. We make excursions to spectacular rural and urban locations. These are five days of painting, hiking, good food and wine.

Bring your own painting equipment or use professional grade art supplies that we will supply at no additional cost for watercolour painting and charcoal sketching.

We offer an introduction to watercolour painting and personal tutoring with challenges and inspiration throughout your stay. You will meet local artists in the area and go on excursions to inspirational art exhibitions.
